FINALLY FALL!

Todd came for a visit October 1 and we again had a great

conversation. So good to have him back in our lives!

Oct.3 we had our diesel tanks filled with red diesel so we are

ready for the winter and whatever comes in the future.

Saturday October 5 our first grandson, Shane, stopped by briefly

and it was good to see him again also.

Monday October 7th we had a three hour appt. set up with Kia but

discovered when we arrived, that the 'code' said it was more

complicated than that and it would be three days or longer! They

took us to Enterprise for a rental car (at their expense) and an

hour  later we had a Black rental car ( so grateful it wasn't

July or August!) that we had until October 16 when our car was

ready. So very grateful we bought the extended warranty when

we purchased the car as our bill was $11,000!!

Saturday October 12, our first granddaughter, Cerét visited us

from Oregon. It was great seeing her again since she moved

away from AZ several years ago. She was in town for her 20th

class reunion and a wedding. 

The 16th was a big day for us as Larry bought a golf cart from a

fellow in Sun City West and he even delivered it to us! A golf

cart is something we have talked about many times especially

during the summer months when it was too hot for me to walk to

our mailbox (half a mile away) and there were meds or vitamins

in the box that needed to be retrieved ASAP because of the sun.

Of course Larry needed a new 'project' so had been grinding,

cutting and welding on it to make it into a two seater instead of a

four seater so it would fit in our limited space. He is still working

on it as it did have a few 'bugs' and of course he has to make it

'his' by adding and modifying a few things.

We had a 20 degree drop in temperature in two days and Larry

just keep working outside and fell ill so he is now fighting a cold.

I've been making him stay inside until he gets better as his

cough is awful. I don't want him to get pneumonia again as that

seems to be what happens when he gets a cold/flu.

I'm grateful the weather has finally cooled off so I can go walking

again.
